Kolleen Oldenburg & Family - 04/20/08
Hi Sidney,

We had a great day fishing with you on our vacation. I have never gone fishing with the kids. We had a blast. On the way home they thanked me for dragging them out. Thanks to you they enjoyed the day. We will definitely give you a call next time we are in the area. Here are some pictures. I also included the ones of Michael and the 27”+ redfish you were after the day before.

Thank you again for a great day.

Bill & Steve Brown - March 19, 2008
It was a very windy day with high waves but the Captain was able to mostly keep us in the mangroves and it was fairly calm there. My son Steve and I did most of the fishing while our wives mainly watched, read and took pictures. My wife usually reads and I fish and she claims thet we generally catch the same number of fish. Definately not true this day.
We started out with redfish and snook. I had never caught a legal length redfish before and I thought that my arms would fall off before I got the first one in.
After a while, we moved to an area that had sea trout. We were pulling them left and right although the ones that day weren't large. After that, we went back to different areas with redfish and snook. Steve was the only one to catch a keeper snook. It was a beauty. Both of us caught redfish that were too long to keep.
Both Steve and I had an inland slam with snook, redfish and trout.
We did keep fish some fish for supper that night. None of us had ever eaten snook or redfish. I enjoyed the redfish more the snook but they were both good.
When we started out that morning, I didn't think that we would last for the 8 hours but at the end, Captain Lowe had to take the fishing poles away from us. Everyone had a very enjoyable day and one to remember for a long time.

Thanks Bill for the great story!! (Pictures in Photo Gallery) wink

WHAT A WEEK!!!
Wow... What a week for Tarpon and Snook! The tarpon have been great this week, and hopefully will continue the trend. There certainly is no shortage of them, seems like everywhere you go they are out milling around. With just a crab or two, a good captain to set you up just right, and a cast on the end of his nose, all of a sudden... BOOSH! There's an explosion in the water and the reel's screamin'! What a thrill it has been. Despite all the obstacles of boat traffic and such, it doesn't seem to have pushed them away. Every day has been a thrill for some very lucky guests.

The Snook haven't been shy either. They are hitting before the bait touches the water!! They have moved out onto the beaches, in mass quantities, and lately have been very hungry. Given the right spot on the beach, it has been very easy to catch and release 20 Snook in 10 minutes (most of that time is getting the Snook off your line!). After sifting through the small bucks, guests have worn themselves out reeling in the monster females. Now, time for me to get on my soapbox... As fun is she is to land, please remember they are out there to spawn. Once she is on the boat, be careful not to harm her before releasing her as she is full of eggs. wink

It's a great time to be on the water! The weather has been great, the fish have been extremely cooperative, and the adrenaline's running high! Give us a call and come join the excitement and enjoyment of world class fishing and sights like none other. 'til next time! tongue

Well, summertime is quickly upon us, and the fish are biting! Traditionally, June has proven to be an excellent fishing month as long as we can fend off tropical storms and red tide. Tarpon are rolling, what a great sight to see (especially on the end of your line)! wink They should be plentiful and as long as the storms stay away, should continue to stick around for a while. Snook have gone to the Gulf side of the beaches and have proven lately to be highly rewarding. Reds are finally starting to appear in mass quanities again. To see a Red tailing again is easy on the eyes! They are still hiding up in the bushes, biting Shrimp, Pinfish, white bait, and/ or cut Ladyfish on high tide.

Gotta go, time to fish!! Until next time... smile
